We’re helping Calgarians celebrate the festive winter season with 12 Days of Legacy as a way to help you find family friendly fun within the community to get into the holiday spirit! Each day we will feature an event or activity that you can partake in. Follow along with our 12 Days of Legacy map and share your journey on social media for a chance to win $1000 to Township!
How to enter:
Simply tag us in your photos on Facebook or Instagram for an entry to the contest. Each day you post equals another entry.
If you win, you can choose to accept the gift card to a single retailer, or split it with a maximum of four retailers.
12 Days of Legacy Events:
December 1: Tunnel of Lights with the Legacy Residents Association – sponsored by WestCreek Developments and Crystal Creek Homes
Put on by the Legacy Residents Association and sponsored by Westcreek Developments and Crystal Creek Homes, this display lights up the community in the most spectacular way. Find our light displays on our map and snap a photo in the light tunnel (located near All Saints High School)!
December 2: Enjoy Time in our Environmental Reserve
We’re going outside! Enjoy the fresh air and great outdoors by spending time in our environmental reserve. This 300-acre land situated right in our backyard is perfect for tobogganing, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, or even a nice long walk with the dogs.
December 3: Holiday Family Photos with WestCreek Homes
Get the perfect family portrait for your holiday card! Shallard Photography will be onsite at our WestCreek Homes Front Drive showhome today to help you capture the memories of this years’ holiday season with your family. Photos are limited to one digital photo per family.

December 4: Photos with Santa at Trico Homes
Do the kids have some last-minute items to add to their wishlists? Visit our Trico Homes showhomes today and let them tell Santa in person – make a memory for a lifetime!
Located at 332 & 336 Legacy Circle SE. From 12-5PM, first come first serve.
December 5: Legacy Christmas Tree
Take time to marvel at our stunning Christmas tree! Our tree is the perfect place to snap a photo while taking a stroll through the neighbourhood.

December 6: Hot Cocoa and Cookies with Sterling Homes
Take a break from the cold weather and stop by our Sterling Homes showhome! Serving holiday cookies and hot cocoa, it’s the perfect holiday treat!
Located at 328 Legacy Circle SE, open from 2-8PM.
December 7: Gingerbread House Kits with Morrison Homes
Looking for the perfect holiday activity to share with the little ones? Head to the Morrison Homes showhome today to pick up a gingerbread house kit to take home! Hurry and grab yours while supplies last!
Located at 10 Legacy Woods Crescent SE, open from 2-8PM.
December 8: Festive Photos at Township
Choose from an array of festive backdrops for your next family photo at Township! Located at Unit 570 (right next to The Mash), Township has created 12 festive backdrops so you can choose the perfect look for the perfect snap! Plus, there’s even a backdrop for pups, so bring the whole family!
Open Thursdays and Fridays from 4-8PM and Saturdays and Sundays 11AM-4PM – now until December 23rd.
December 10: Light Up the Pond with the Calgary Legacy Community Association and AARCs
Join us as our Calgary Legacy Community Association partner with AARCs to Light Up the Pond! The CLCA will light up Legacy Lake Pond, and invite homes around the pond to light up their festive backyard decor to make the event as bright as possible! Santa will be in attendance for photos, and attendees can also enjoy hot chocolate and a live DJ. Donation bins will also be available to collect goods for AARCS. Find more details here.

December 10: Hot Cocoa and Latte Espresso Bar with Jayman BUILT
Stop by our Jayman front drive showhome today from 12-4PM and visit their complimentary hot chocolate & latte espresso bar for the perfect way to warm up in the chilly weather.

December 11: Holiday Shopping in Legacy
We’re helping you cross names off of your gift list by shopping local! Visit the large number of retailers around Legacy and find the perfect gifts for your loved ones. Grab a gift card to Bobby’s Place Pub for a parents’ night out, give the gift of a fresh haircut for the men in your life at Tommy Gun’s Barber Shop, and don’t forget about a new toy for your four-legged family members at Bone & Biscuit!
Between Township, Legacy Grove, Legacy Corner and Legacy Village, you can find all of your holiday needs so close to home!
December 12: Skate the Rink – sponsored by Jayman BUILT and WestCreek Homes
Enjoy the community skating rink, a Legacy favourite, opening later this month. The rink is sponsored by WestCreek Developments and Jayman BUILT and is the perfect winter activity for the kids to enjoy over the holiday break. Skating rink opening times are subject to weather.
